CLC was founded in Wayne, NJ, by Calvary Temple International, with a vision to provide high-quality, faith-based early learning. We do things differently by creating an environment where children from 6 weeks to Kindergarten can grow spiritually, socially, and academically.

Our Programs – Faith-Focused Early Education for Ages 6 Weeks to Kindergarten
Nurturing Early Development
Our caregivers provide a loving and nurturing environment for infants. Activities include tummy time, first steps, and developmental play. Sign language is introduced to promote early communication, and schedules are tailored to ensure a smooth transition from home to daycare.
Early Learning and Social Skills
Children begin exploring colors, shapes, counting, and social skills. Music, movement, and art projects support motor and creative development, while sign language and Bible stories introduce faith and communication skills.
Motor Skills, Faith, and Exploration
Toddlers develop fine and gross motor skills, learn to share, and build friendships. Daily Bible stories, songs, and hands-on learning experiences promote spiritual, social, and cognitive growth.
Preschool Literacy, Creativity, and Christian Values
Our preschoolers engage in writing, phonics, classification, and math concepts, complemented by daily art, music, and Bible lessons. This age group benefits from hands-on activities that foster early literacy, creativity, and spiritual understanding.
Pre-K Learning with Faith Integration
This pre-K program focuses on math, comprehension, phonics, reading, writing, Spanish, and sign language. Daily art, music, and Bible lessons reinforce Christian values and prepare children for a smooth transition into formal schooling.
Comprehensive Early Education
Our 5K curriculum integrates multiple subjects, including phonics, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Children work in reading groups, participate in hands-on learning centers, and continue daily Bible lessons to emphasize God’s love and Christian principles.
Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer flexible half-day, full-day, and extended care programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten, as well as summer enrichment programs. Every program is designed to provide early learning opportunities, build confidence, and prepare children for future academic and social success.
By working closely with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we ensure that each child’s developmental needs are met while reinforcing Christian values and a love of learning.

Director
Tt is a true honor to introduce myself as a dedicated professional in the field of Early Childhood Education. I have been part of this field for 21 years, with 13 of those years spent serving professionally in education. Throughout this time, I have had the privilege of nurturing young learners, supporting families, and leading programs that inspire a lifelong love of learning.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, as well as a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education Curriculum and Learning. These degrees have provided me with a strong foundation in both child development and instructional leadership, shaping my approach to teaching and directing with intention and care.
Over the years, I have served as an early childhood educator for children ages 3 to 4, a first grade teacher, and later transitioned into leadership roles that have allowed me to extend my impact. I have served as the Camp Calvary Director for five summers and currently have the privilege of leading as the Director of Calvary Learning Center, a position I have held for the past tour years.
My philosophy in education centers on creating joyful, intentional, and nurturing spaces where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore their God given potential. I believe that learning should extend beyond academics to include emotional, social, and spiritual growth.
As a Director, I am committed to empowering teachers through mentorship, partnering closely with families, and ensuring that every child's experience reflects excellence, compassion, and purpose.
It has been a true joy to dedicate my life to this calling, and I look forward to continuing to serve children, families, and educators with integrity, faith, and heart.
Denisse Orta
Kindergarten Teacher
l'd like to take this opportunity to share a little bit about myself and my background in education.
I have been working in education for over nine years, with experience teaching children from infancy through middle school. I also served as a director for four years. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and Education, and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. Education and mentorship are my true passions, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help your children learn, grow, and thrive-both in and out of the classroom.
As a teacher, my primary goal is to ensure every child feels valued, loved, and empowered to become independent. I'm especially excited to be part of the Calvary Learning Center, where I can share my faith and teach children about God's love and acceptance. It truly fills my heart to be back in the classroom!
In addition to teaching Kindergarten, I also work as an adjunct professor at Sussex Community College, where I help adults develop the skills they need to become successful educators. Teaching is something I deeply enjoy, and when I'm not working with children or adults, I love spending time with my husband, Luis, and our beautiful daughters, Kayla(11) and Alyssa (9). S ome of my hobbies include reading, journaling, and spending time with friends.

Elizabeth Ekford
Pre-K 4s Teacher
I am thrilled to be your child's teacher and would like to introduce myself. I am a mother of two children: a 16-year-old young man and a 12-year-old young lady. I am a Christian and have been married for 21 years. I love reading, coffee, shopping on Amazon, and the colors red and turquoise. I am also a big animal lover and have a wonderful Lhasa Apso named Panda.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts Sociology with a Concentration in Social Services and an Elementary Education License from William Paterson University. My passion for teaching began at the age of nineteen while working with a special needs' population. While I have been teaching in diverse environments for 21 years, six of those years have been in Preschool.
In teaching Pre-K 4 and Transitional Kindergarten, I fell in love with the students' ability to want to learn and discover the world around them.
My alignments with teaching is such as scripture tells us, "Train up the child in the way that they should go and when they get older, they won't depart from it", my belief is that every aspect of teaching is a God given opportunity to pour into a child so that they may become all that they can become stronger in each area of their lives. As an educator, I pour myself into the success of each student while helping them develop in each of their unique abilities.
