Learning at School is transformative.
Preschool years are important. Help your child make the most of these early years. Learn what our center can offer your child, as we work together to “build a foundation for life-long learning.”
Infants
Class
Our caregivers provide a loving and nurturing environment for babies beginning at 6 weeks old.
- From tummy time to those first steps, your child will engage in
developmentally appropriate activities. - In addition, sign language is introduced to your little one to promote early communication.
- The staff will work with your child’s schedule to ensure a smooth transition from home to day care.
One Year Old
Class
- Children will be introduced to colors, shapes, and socialization skills.
- They will begin to develop concepts including counting, matching, and following directions.
- Through clapping, dancing, and moving, your little one will enjoy music and rhythm.
- Large motor skills, coordination and balance will improve as the children crawl through tunnels, stack blocks and push and pull toys.
- Art projects give opportunity for these toddlers to color, paint and glue.
- Sign language instruction assists the children in communicating while verbally expressing themselves.
- As in all our classes, children will learn about the love of God.
Two Year Old
Class
- Your child’s fine and gross motor skills will be challenged through numerous hands on activities and experiences.
- They will learn the skills needed to share and take turns, as well as how to relate to their friends.
- Stories, songs, art, music and weekly themes will make for an enjoyable experience for these little ones.
- Daily Bible stories and prayer will instill Christian faith and values in your child.
Three Year Old
Class
- On a daily basis, our three year old students will be writing and tracing letters and numbers.
- Beginning phonics, classification, grouping, and counting are part of their every day schedule.
- Age appropriate hands-on activities and daily art projects further enhance their day.
- During Bible time, children will learn about God’s love for them.
- Art and Music are provided daily to create a well-rounded educational experience for the preschoolers.
Four Year Old
Kindergarten Class
- The four year old kindergarten is a comprehensive program, including math concepts, comprehension skills and phonics.
- Along with writing and reading time, students will participate daily in Art projects and Music.
- Spanish and Sign Language further enhance this kindergarten preparatory program.
- Bible time will reinforce the Christian values that Calvary Learning Center represent.
Kindergarten
Class
- The 5K classes offers children cross-subject integration, with a focus on phonics, reading and writing.
- Students will encounter sight words, consonant blends, long and short vowel sounds, and punctuation.
- To ensure that individual needs are met, children will be assigned to reading groups.
- Reading centers will include developing words and writing sentences.
- Math skills will cover measurement, patterning, money, and time, as well as addition and subtraction.
- Science and Social Studies are integrated into the curriculum.
- Bible time will emphasize God’s love for each child and reinforce the Christian values that characterize CLC.
